If Julia is reading this, I'm giving a talk on the history of these machines, the soda fountain, and how the marble facades of NYC created cost effective soda fountains at the New Amsterdam Market on Feb 11 at 6:30pm on Water Street in NYC. Anyone who is in NYC then please come :) I will be giving out candy samples, talking about the history of soda fountains (The first was was set up at Wall St and Water Street, just 5 blocks from where I will be talking). Anton from P&H soda will be there with his amazing soda fountain syrups. I will also be talking about modern NYC soda fountains and I will answer the question about where you can get a good egg cream.
